Ocean engineering simulation equipment

COOEC’s offshore operational simulation equipments comprise more than ten professional simulators, including simulators for deepwater pipe-laying and lifting operations, and visual display equipment such as 360-degree full dome projection system and four-wall CAVE system. These equipment can be used to simulate and rehearse various typical offshore operations, such as single crane/double crane lifting operation, S-lay/J-lay, float-over installation, anchor/ mooring system handling, and underwater installation and maintenance, provide trainings for operation personnel, and simulate collaborative operations involving multiple equipment at multiple operation positions.

COOEC has built an ROV simulator as per requirements of IMCA which can simulate various underwater operation scenarios and generate nearly 10 simulated images at the same time. Through software configuration and setting, the simulator can create complex underwater operation environments with adjustable sea states, currents and visibility levels, which can be adjusted to increase the difficulty level of the operation, and it features 10 common tasks designed to improve the operator’s operation skills.
