“HYSY 278” is a 50,000 T self-propelled, semi-submersible crane vessel equipped with a DP2 dynamic positioning system. With a maximum speed of more than 12 knots and a maximum float-over capacity of 18,000 tons, this vessel can transport and lift modules weighing up to 25,000 tons. It has completed many transport and float-over installation projects both in domestic and overseas, including the float-over installation of the 15,000 T Huizhou 25-8 DPP module in the South China Sea, which is the first float-over installation with a DP vessel in China, and the transportation of the 13,140 T jack-up drilling rig Energy Emerger to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
