COOEC owns technologies for deepwater submarine pipelines for design of submarine pipelines operating under complex terrains in 1,500 meters deepwaters, S-lay technology, board-side installation of pipeline end terminations and independently developed deepwater gravity pipe supports and deepwater pipe-laying real-time monitoring system, and emergency recovery devices. Technology for the overall and joint pre-commissioning of deepwater subsea pipelines and facilities has been successfully used in deepwater oil and gas projects such as Liuhua 29-1 gas field project and “Shenhai-1” energy station project, which created a new record for maximum pipe-laying water depth of 1,542 meters. We independently developed technology for the commissioning of deepwater modules and coiled tubing systems, and commissioning of the submarine pipelines and SCRs of Liuhua 29-1 gas field, Liuhua 29-2 gas field, Liuhua 16-2 oilfield, and “Shenhai-1” energy station. COOEC has been the fourth company in the world with underwater module commissioning technology and core equipment, the third company in the world with technologies for underwater commissioning of coiled tubing systems.

We established technologies for subsea production systems from overall design of subsea production systems, flow assurance design, subsea control systems to material selection and corrosion control for subsea systems and other design of subsea production systems operating in 1,500 meters deepwaters. The design and installation of the main facilities of subsea production systems operating in 1,500 meters deepwaters including pipeline end terminations (PLET), pipeline end manifolds (PLEM), subsea inline manifolds (ILM), manifolds, jumpers, and subsea umbilical termination units (SUTU). The technological innovations and achievements have been successfully used in the subsea production systems of various oil and gas fields in China, including Liuhua 4-1 oilfield, Panyu 35-1/2 deepwater gas field, Liuhua 19-5 gas field, Wenchang 10-3 gas field, Liuhua 16-2 oilfield, and “Shenhai-1” energy station. COOEC has developed world-leading, advanced vessels and key equipment for installing subsea production systems and made technological breakthroughs in the vertical laying and tie-back of dynamic/static flexible pipelines and cables in 1,500 meters deepwaters, long-distance transportation and installation of submarine power/umbilical cables, installation of flexible jumpers, connector and ROV tie-in; developed a variety of equipment and tools for laying deepwater pipelines and cables; made breakthroughs in the technologies for the installation of large subsea structures in 1,500 meters deepwaters, installation and tie-in of M-type rigid jumpers, and installation of subsea Christmas trees and multiple flying leads using offshore vessels; and developed a complete technology system for installing subsea production systems operating in deep waters. These technologies have been successfully used at “Shenhai-1” energy station, Liuhua 16-2 oilfield and Liuhua 29-1/29-2 gas fields.
