Project: Tangshan LNG Terminal Project Phase I

Time of completion: June 2023

Project introduction: Tangshan LNG Terminal Project is designed with a receiving unloading capacity of 12 million tons per year. The project is divided into three phases, with the 1st phase of four 200,000 cubic meter LNG storage tanks and related supporting facilities. The scope of work includes design management, procurement, construction, installation, commissioning, acceptance, and other related services for jetty 3#, the upper facilities of the trestle, the four 200,000 cubic meter full containment concrete LNG storage tanks, and the terminal supporting facilities .

Project highlights: Tangshan LNG Terminal Project achieved an impressive performance of 8.67 million man-hours without any accidents. Through initiatives such as the innovative fully automatic welding technology for the inner tanks of LNG storage tanks, the project was successfully commissioned, achieving four major breakthroughs.

After connecting the unloading arms of the first ship, the low-pressure and high-pressure compressors were successfully started in 45 hours to achieve BOG recovery, and the flare was extinguished within 59 hours. Both the BOG recovery startup time and flare extinguish time broke industry records.

The pre-cooling process of the 3# storage tank took only 41 hours, creating the shortest record in the history of pre-cooling of 200,000 cubic meter LNG storage tank in China.

The ship fulfilled padding LNG into the the largest diameter (42") of low-pressure export header pipeline domestic during in port time, making it the first LNG terminal in China to have the conditions for liquid export before departure of the first barge.

It takes totally 122 hours from the first ship's berthing to departure, a significant reduction of 214 hours compared to the original plan.
