On August 21, the new-generation multi-purpose offshore engineering vessel "HYSY 292", developed and built by Offshore Oil Engineering Co., Ltd. (COOEC), was delivered in Qidong, Jiangsu Province.
HYSY 292 features a double-deck structure and streamlined monohull design. It has an overall length of 126 meters, a molded breadth of 28 meters and a displacement of more than 17,600 tonnes. Equipped with an advanced electric azimuth propulsion system and a DP2 dynamic positioning system, the vessel is qualified for worldwide unrestricted navigation. It is outfitted with a 400-tonne crane and pre-equipped with a 3,000-tonne-class cable carousel, remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), a subsea trencher and other equipment. It boasts deepwater-grade operational capabilities covering offshore engineering development, construction, maintenance, inspection and repair, and emergency response. It is suitable for full-scope integrated offshore engineering operations across various sea areas, including installation of subsea pipelines, cables and structures, seabed surveys and transportation support.
In recent years, COOEC has built up an offshore engineering fleet consisting of 20 specialized vessels in six major categories, including deepwater multi-purpose construction vessels, crane vessels, pipelay vessels, trenching vessels and large launch barges. It has also built core assets such as the 3,000-meter deepwater pipelay crane vessel "HYSY 201" and Asia’s largest launch barge "HYSY 229", and established all-sea-area operational capabilities ranging from shallow-water to ultra-deepwater environments and from nearshore to deep-offshore waters.
