COOEC Held the 2019 Working Meeting and the 3rd Workers' Congress of the 4th Session

On January 22 to 23, COOEC held the 2019 Working Meeting and the 3rd Workers' Congress of the 4th Session, to convey and implement the spirit of the 2019 Working Meeting of the Group in detail, systematically summarize the work of 2018, carry out in-depth analysis on the development of the industry and the Company, and make overall work arrangement for 2019. Lv Bo, the Deputy General Manager of the Group and CPC member, attended the meeting and made a speech, and the leaders at home participated in the meeting.

At the meeting, Jin Xiaojian, the Chairman, the Secretary of the Party Committee and the President, made a work report on Promoting High-quality and Sound Development through Reform and Transformation, Leading Comprehensive International Construction with High Cost Performance. In the work report, Jin Xiaojian summed up the main work of the Company in 2018, objectively analyzed the shortcomings of the Company's development, and made a further clarification on the objectives and tasks at the present stage of the construction of international first-class energy engineering company, and made work deployment for 2019.

Facing the double pressure of “heavy workload fluctuation” and “low profit margin hovering” in 2018, the Company experienced unprecedented great challenges in production and operation. Facing the difficulties and challenges and led by high-quality development, the Company concentrated on idea transformation, took initiative in work, continued to make efforts in professional competence, market development, in-depth reform, infrastructure, technical innovation, human resources and Party construction, to successfully complete all the assessment objectives of the year and make steady progress and hard-won achievements.

The corporate stock was incorporated into the first batch of candidate share of Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI). The Company won the Outstanding Corporate Innovator Award (OCI) and the Commendation Award of China Industrial Grand Prize for the first time, achieved the delivery of the world largest FPSO and the synchronous operation of five deep-water projects including Liuhua 16-2 for the first time, was successfully included into the Qualified Contractor List of Saudi Aramco, and successfully completed the optimization and reform of the organization… All works were carried out steadily, which enabled the Company to achieve the predetermined performance objectives in "adversity", and made its management level, innovation ability and the brand value highly and widely recognized both in and abroad.

At the same time, Jin Xiaojian also objectively analyzed the shortcomings of the Company's development, and made further clarification and deployment on the objectives and tasks at the present stage of the construction of international first-class energy engineering company from five aspects, namely, new connotation of higher cost performance, new task of all-round international construction, new normal state of transformation by in-depth reform and opening-up policy, new direction of “intelligent COOEC” digitalization and new industry reform profiting from new technology.

At the meeting, Jin Xiaojian made important work deployments for 2019: firstly, spare no effort to ensure the completion of production and operation objectives; secondly, try to achieve stable shares in the international market; thirdly, promote the steady and rapid release of the efficiency of reform; fourth, adhere to leading the transformation and development with planning; fifth, insist on the construction of “intelligent COOEC” digitalization; sixth, promote the essential safety level of the Company with all the strength; seventh, deeply motivate the maximum efficiency of the human resources; eighth, lead high-quality development with high-quality Party construction.

Jin Xiaojian stressed in the concluding remarks that the next two years is the first stage of the “three steps” for constructing COOEC into the international first-class energy engineering company and also refers to the initial stage and foundation solidifying stage of comprehensive internationalization, so all the staff shall have a clear recognition on the new trend of the company development, try the best to grasp the new opportunities of in-depth reform and comprehensive internationalization, take an active part in the business development, do a good job in various works, and strive to consolidate the foundation of high-quality and sound development with a new attitude of high cost performance, to complete the production and operation tasks of 2019 with all efforts.

In his concluding remarks, Lv Bo expressed full affirmation to the active efforts and expected achievements made by COOEC in adversity in 2018, and put forward four requirements for the following work: first, seize the favorable opportunity of increasing the oil and gas exploration and development of China to promote the production and operation of COOEC onto a new level; second, comprehensively promote the integrative competence of COOEC and actively create it into an international first-class energy engineering company; third, always give priority to safety and quality, effectively prevent and resolutely eliminate the occurrence of serious safety and quality accidents; fourth, constantly innovate the Party construction, actively promote the level of Party construction, and earnestly grasp the construction of honest administration as well as anti-corruption work.
