On July 1, 2019, Chinese Communist Party welcomed its 98th birthday. The Party Committee of COOEC held solemn and grand flag-raising ceremony, to carry forward the spirit of patriotism and enhance the cohesion and centripetal force of the Company.
At 8:30 on the morning of July 1, 2019, over 300 CPC members gathered at the square of the building office of COOEC to formally raise the curtain of the flag-raising ceremony. Flag-bearers guarded the Five-Starred Red Flag to the site with vigorous steps and handed it over to the flag raisers to raise the flag. Along with the slow raising of the Five-Starred Red Flag, all staff stood at attention and saluted with eyes in the solemn national anthem, creating a solemn and touching atmosphere.
Yu Yi, the Secretary of the Party Committee made a short speech after the flag raising. He reviewed the earth-shaking changes to China in the 98 years after founding of the CPC and in the 70 years after the establishment of the PRC. Standing at the time node of the 98th anniversary of the CPC, he called on that each CPC member should continuously enhance the political standing and regard the thematic education activity of “never forget the original intention and keep the mission in mind” as the eternal subject of the Party building and as the lifelong topic of all CPC members and cadres under the guidance of Xi Jinping’s Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. He called for firmly setting up “four consciousnesses”, persisting in “four confidences” and resolute in “two maintenances” by “insisting on original intention, assuming the mission, finding the differences and urging the implementation”. Each COOEC people shall actively practice the original intentions of “making contributions to oil industry of the country”, “working for the Party in economic field” and “building into an international first-class energy company with Chinese characteristics”, and assume the missions of developing a blue homeland and guaranteeing the national security, to present excellent achievements to the Party and all people.
