On February 17, Wang Dongjin, the Secretary of the Party Committee of CNOOC, the Chairman of CNOOC, and the Leader of the NCP Epidemic Prevention and Control Leading Team of CNOOC, presided over the 12th meeting of the Leading Team. At the meeting, he communicated to learn the spirit of important speeches made by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the 12th Session of the Central Comprehensively Deepening Reforms Commission and General Secretary Xi Jinping’s featured articles titled Speech on the Research of Tackling the NCP Epidemic at a Meeting of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee which was published on the Qiushi Journal, and to further deploy the Company’s epidemic prevention and control and the key tasks in production and operation. Wang Dongjin stated that all staff shall resolutely implement the spirit of the important speeches and instructions made by General Secretary Xi Jinping, resolutely implement the decisions and arrangements of the CPC Central Committee, firmly make efforts to ensure effective epidemic prevention and control and the work safety, and focus on the production and operation in a high-quality and efficient manner.
To resolutely implement the important speeches and instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping, Wang Dongjin put forward the following requirements considering the current situation of the Company’s epidemic prevention and control and the production and operation:
1. Highlight the key points, and make efforts in precisely understanding the important and difficult points of the Company's epidemic prevention and control. Highlight the “prevention", and combine efforts to improve public health safety protection with efforts to improve their own prevention and control capabilities. Grasp the difficult points to ensure the protection safety of offshore platforms, ships as well as working sites and office spaces where the onshore staff are relatively concentrated，and do a good job in epidemic prevention of the overseas staff to manage all work well with outstanding achievements.
2. Stand the test and be at the forefront to make an example. Take the epidemic prevention and control as a major political task at present. The party organizations at different levels should earnestly assume the main responsibility, the discipline inspection and supervision departments should assume the responsibility of supervision, and major leaders of all departments and units should earnestly assume the first responsibility to fulfill the original mission in the battle for the epidemic prevention and control and overcome such big test.
3. Be brave in assuming responsibilities, and do a good job in supporting the materials. Firmly establish a sense of the overall consciousness and the concept of the overall viewpoint, assume the responsibility of central enterprises in terms of supporting the materials for epidemic prevention such as medical protective products, and accelerate the production of medical materials and raw materials. The protective equipment for the Company should be preferentially provided to the front-line staff.
4. Make overall plans and take all factors into consideration, and focus on the production and operation in a high-quality and efficient manner. Resolutely implement the "six stability" work requirements, firm up their confidence and determination, and strive to achieve the Company's annual production and operation goals.
5. Deepen the reform and strengthen the establishment of the emergency response system. Always adhere to a problem-oriented approach, further improve the contingency plan for epidemic prevention and control, and the emergency response plan for safety and environmental protection, and promptly carry out all kinds of emergency response drills. The special working teams should strengthen communication and earnestly implement their responsibilities.
Wang Dongjin stressed that it is necessary to strengthen overall coordination, firmly make efforts to ensure effective epidemic prevention and control and the work safety, earnestly work hard to resume the production, actively promote the implementation of the "Seven-Year Action Plan" for increasing reserve and production, and strive to contribute to the epidemic prevention and control and the realization of the goals for economic and social development of this year. Wang Dongjin also put forward requirements with respect to the promotion of capacity construction and other key projects and the solving of the production and operation problems.
Chen Bi, the member of the Party Committee of CNOOC and the Deputy Leader of the NCP Epidemic Prevention and Control Leading Team of CNOOC, and Wen Dongfen, Zhong Qingming and Xu Keqiang, members of the Party Committee of CNOOC and the Leading Team, attended the meeting and made requests on related work.
In the meeting, an introduction to progress of the epidemic prevention and control performed by the special working teams was made, and the discussion on the deployment of the next major tasks of epidemic prevention and control was conducted.
