Liwan 3-1 Project of South China Sea Deepwater Natural Gas Project

Liwan 3-1 Central Platform of South China Sea Deepwater Natural Gas Project is located in the east of South China Sea, with a water depth of 189.5 m. The subsea wellhead of Liwan 3-1 Gas Field is located at 79 km to the southwest of platform, with a water depth of 1,350 m to 1,480 m. Liwan 3-1 Gas Field is the first deep-water gas field in China with a depth of over 1,000 m, hence regarded as the landmark project for CNOOC to enter the deep water.

COOEC is responsible for the EPCI work of the whole Liwan 3-1 Central Platform. Liwan 3-1 Central Platform is the largest jacket and module in Asia, and also the first super large module floating operation in the open sea area of the South China Sea.
