Successful Mechanical Completion of Two Projects by COOEC

On the eve of the National Day, COOEC, the general contractor of Caofeidian 11-1/11-6 Oilfields Comprehensive Adjustment Project and Wenchang 13-2 Comprehensive Adjustment Project finished all work and realized mechanical completion.

Caofeidian 11-1/11-6 Oilfields Comprehensive Adjustment Project involves two large platforms - CEPJ (about 11,000 t) and CEPI (about 13,000 t). After nearly 14 months onshore construction, offshore floating installation of the two platforms were completed at the end of June and August 2019 respectively, with mechanical completion successfully realized on the eve of the National Day.

At the end of September, Wenchang 13-2 Comprehensive Adjustment Project had mechanical completion realized in advance and obtained the mechanical completion certificate for offshore oil (gas) field, devoting a festive color to the 70th Anniversary of the People’s Republic of China. Wenchang 13-2WHPB is a four-leg jacket platform with the jacket weighing about 7,500 t and topside weighing about 6,000 t, which is the module with the largest single hoisting weight in the South China Sea. After being put into production, the platform will make an active contribution to the production of over 20 million m3 in the oilfields in the west of South China Sea.
